"Bright enough is enough" is the general requirement of many office floors for office lighting. Therefore, when decorating office space, people often do not consider it in depth.
For office workers, the company may be the place where they spend the longest time in the lighting environment every day. Reasonable office lighting will greatly affect the comfort, work efficiency, and even visual health and mental health of employees. Therefore, the important role of lighting in the office is self-evident.
So what are the points to pay attention to in office lighting?
Appropriate illumination
Illuminance refers to the amount of luminous flux of visible light received per unit area of the illuminated surface. The unit is lux, 1ux=1 lumen/square meter. We often say whether it is bright enough, which usually refers to whether the illumination is enough. Under the same area, the higher the luminous flux of the light source, that is, the higher the lumen value, the higher the illumination. Generally speaking, if the lighting environment is required to be very bright and clear, the illumination requirement is also higher.
For office lighting, the state stipulates that the illumination of general office areas shall not be less than 300lux. The ratio of the minimum illuminance of the desktop to the average illuminance should not be less than 0.7, and the local working area lighting brightness should not be less than 500 lux. The average illuminance of the non-working area, that is, the general space, should not be less than half of the working area, and the corridor illuminance should not be less than 150 lux.
Color temperature
Humans have been working from sunrise to sunset since ancient times. Because of the biological inertia formed at the genetic level by this living state, it is easier to concentrate and complete work efficiently under high color temperature lighting. Under low color temperature lighting, it is easier to feel relaxed subconsciously.
When choosing office lamps, we recommend choosing a color temperature of no more than 4500K in the choice of color temperature. Such a lighting environment is more inclined to natural white light. The working area is suitable for white light with a color temperature of about 4000K, and the leisure area and reception area are suitable for yellow light with a color temperature of about 3000K.
Prevent glare
Preventing glare is a very important step. Glare is one of the natural enemies of office workers. It can cause disgust, fatigue, double vision, etc. Working under glare for a long time can also damage vision and even cause blindness.
If you want to avoid glare in general office areas, you can use linear lights, panel lights and other designs to avoid glare.
I hope the above information can help you with your office lighting settings!
