Avoid direct sunlight

Keep furniture away from air conditioner vents

Solid wood furniture performs best in temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Excessively high or low temperatures can reduce its lifespan. In summer, avoid placing furniture directly under or near air conditioner vents, as rapid temperature shifts may cause materials to age prematurely and warp over time.

Leave a gap between furniture and the wall

Summer can bring not only heat, but also high humidity and heavy rain—especially in southern or coastal cities. Sudden humidity (e.g., in “return damp” weather) may cause moisture buildup on walls. To protect your furniture, maintain a 0.5–1 cm gap between the back of the furniture and the wall. This allows air to circulate and reduces the risk of moisture damage.

Take steps to remove excess humidity

If moisture or condensation appears on the surface of your furniture, wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the room is properly ventilated.
